Fellowship Brunch
For the Titus 2 Tuesday Bible studies on January 10
I and II Samuel: Life of David - Tuesdays 9:00 am (Dining Room)
Leader: Jaime Forrest - Discussion and Kay Arthur video
In this two part study on the life of David we will see first-hand the importance of a life of obedience and how it is lived out in the midst of interpersonal conflicts. We will watch a "man after God's own heart" ascend to the throne, and then descend into sin. We will see how a covenant-keeping God moves a man from sin to victory. Class fee is $38 and includes two workbooks.
Hebrews - Mondays 7:00 pm (Marilyn's home), Tuesdays 9:00 am (Upper Room)
Leader: Marilyn Penberthy - Lecture, discussion, and video by Kay Arthur
This semester is a continuation of the first semester study. God moved an unknown writer to take up his pen and write the book of Hebrews so we could be secure in our faith. The book was written to prove that Jesus Christ is the perfect fulfillment of Judaism, and that He is greater than the Law and greater than all the prophets. He is also greater than the Roman Catholic Pope and the Vatican. Included in this study will be discussion of the differences between Catholicism and Christianity, and how we need to stand firm for the truth and not add or subtract to what the Bible teaches. Class fee is $35 and includes a workbook.
Discipleship Evangelism: Sharing Your Faith - Tuesdays 9:00 am (Conference Room 1)
Leader: Danielle Bohr
Learn how to share the gospel with unbelieving family and friends. Discipleship Evangelism helps paint a beautiful picture of the saving gospel message using the power of scripture. If you are not sharing the gospel, maybe it is because you have not been trained how to share in a concise way! This tool is priceless! Prayerfully consider joining. Class fee is $5.
Colossians - Tuesdays 9:00 am (Classroom #1)
Leader: Ayemi Hall - Discussion group format and material by John MacArthur
Colossians covers central doctines of the Christian faith, including the supremacy of Christ, the nature of salvation, redemption from sin, and putting on the new man in Christ. Come to be refreshed in your walk, and encourage other ladies as we pursue Christ together. Class fee is $10 and includes a workbook.
Seeking Him: The Joy of Personal Revival - Tuesdays 6:30 am (Dining Room), Wednesdays 6:30 pm (Conference Room 2)
Leader: Eunie McEntee - Workbook, discussion, and material by Nancy Leigh DeMoss
This study is open only to those who were enrolled the first semester. The study is not intended to add more "shoulds" to your life. Rather, its purpose is to reveal more of God and His ways to you. This study will help you examine yourself in light of scipture. It will take you to God's throne where it will inspire a deeper desire for greater holiness and commitment to our Savior. It has potential to gently expose your heart and lead you to greater freedom, forgiveness, fullness, and spiritual fruitfulness.
I Peter: An Inductive Study - Thursdays 6:45-8:30 pm
Leader: Elaine Johnson - Discussion
This class meets in Conference Room #1 in the sanctuary building.
