Women's Retreat- Can't Wait 'til Next Year!!

Well, it came and went faster than we would have liked...but it was a wonderful weekend at the Women's Retreat!!  To all of you unable to attend: you MUST come next year!!  It was a great time of bonding with women of our own age, and those of different stages of life too.  It was a time to relax, saturate ourselves in some good worship and time to connect with other women in some groups to share some deep things of our heart. It was only 45 mintues from home, so the drive was nothing.  Some people even just came for the day Saturday.

What a way to see Riverpark on a different level- a bit smaller and more intimate! We haven't yet begun our plans for next year, but there will be a retreat next year. Be assured of that!!  So, let all your friends know that they won't want to miss it again! 

We had personalized brown/pink canvas tote bags with our logo on it for all those attending which contained a pink pen, tissues, pink gum, their programs, a water bottle with our logo labeled on it, and a CD with our worship music. In the wee hours of the night, Patty Higton planned a CRAZY night of Bunco, and a perfectly relaxing night of "Gab & Games", where we could connect. Alyssa Braun pulled off a wonderful insightful Sunday morning of Q&A with six respected, godly women giving us insights into their walk with Christ over the years, marriage and raising kids. Staci Lowe orchestrated seven choices of activities to attend during our freetime on Saturday afternoon. Too many great ones to choose from! Sarah Sanchez led a team of ladies who did a phenomonal job with worship! Selinda Mohler slaved over the computer designing and putting together our nametags, water bottle labels and great programs! Matt and Angela Klein, of Harddriven Sportswear, designed our logo used for everything and worked hard to get all our shirts and cute bags to us at the the last minute (our fault). Kristy Tood and Carrie Mills perfectly placed together women in their cabins and, with God's help, put the perfect ladies into small groups together to form some deep bonds and intimate talks. Tiffany Trout and Kimberly Bell made us feel SO special, as they did everything with the tote bags, all the incredible decorating, and the flowers and chocolate in the rooms. They went above and beyond! And, most importantly- Marlene Suseov led a team of "mature" loyal women to pray during the planning of this trip, which we felt the whole time. Wow!!     

Thank you so much to all the women involved in the planning of this retreat!  You pulled it off brilliantly, it looked wonderful and made all of us feel so special!
