 Marriage Mentoring Ministries

Marriage Mentors are not counselors in the "technical" sense. Rather they are couples who have learned in their marriage relationship and through training how to grow in their marriage. This six-week training will cover how to be a mentoring couple to other couples in your church in three areas:

• Assisting couples who want to go from a Good marriage to a Great marriage!
• Premarital Mentoring
• Stepfamily Couple Mentoring

In addition to being trained in how to use the 120-page Marriage Mentoring Resource Manual, you will complete REFOCCUS, an inventory for married couples used in “good to great” mentoring and read the book, “Love & Respect” by Emerson Eggerichs. You will also complete and be certified in a premarital inventory (FOCCUS) for engaged couples. You will receive an overview on how to mentor stepfamily couples and read the book, “The Smart Stepfamily” by Ron Deal.

Costs: $195/couple plus $130 materials fee ($325 total) which includes Marriage Mentoring Ministries’ 120-page Resource Manual, FOCCUS training notebook, REFOCCUS packet and inventory, FOCCUS scoring, and two textbooks: “Love & Respect” by Emerson Eggerichs and “The Smart Stepfamily” by Ron Deal.
